Valentine’s day is just around the corner, and we’ve pulled together a fun and fresh brunch that will make celebrating simple yet stylish. February has a bad wrap; with short dark days and cold weather, it seems like we can’t help but stay bundled up indoors. If staying in is on the docket for you this Valentine’s day, here is a great way to celebrate.
Throw a garden party. Who says florals, freshness and al fresco dining are reserved only for summertime? Well, I’m not sure we can give you al fresco, but we can lean into sunnier days with this table setting. We suggest bringing out your patio plates, garden accessories and throwing a garden themed Valentine’s party. This is great for your true love, friends or kids, so why not give it a try.

Start with a summertime inspired table cloth and your outdoor plates. We used a lemon tablecloth and yellow plates and peppered in a few pink pieces that we had around the house. This could be accomplished with any two colours, just be bold and bright. The flowers, napkins and food were the only purchased items and the choices were deliberate and made to help tie the colour scheme together. Push your table up against a window or patio door, gather everything together and voila, a brunch that would knock anyone’s socks off! This idea can easily be reworked for any holiday or event. If you are stuck on what to do for an upcoming gathering, this is an easy and relatively cost effective way to add instant interest to a party or impromptu get-together.

We always hope to inspire beautiful transformations, but if you need a little more guidance feel free to reach out, we’d love to hear how we might help. Follow us on Instagram here for a daily dose of inspiration and a glimpse into our world.
